MCN Awarded Department of Labor Contract for Southeast

Medical Consultants Network, Inc. (MCN) has been awarded a contract by the US Department of Labor, Office of Workers Compensation Programs (OWCP) to provide services for its Jacksonville, Fl., office. The Jacksonville contract will serve 8 States in the Southeast (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee). Key services will be provided by MCN’s Tampa office.

This will be the 4th region served by MCN, which has contracts for the Seattle, WA, New York, NY, and Washington, D.C. offices of the OWCP. The primary services under the contract are medical second opinions for civilian federal employees who submit compensation claims for work-related injuries as part of the adjudication and case management process. MCN contracts with physicians in selected specialties to perform the evaluations.

”We are honored to be selected to perform this contract. Our years of experience serving the Department of Labor have allowed us to collaborate with them toward applying information technology solutions to service protocols,” said Paul Mayer, President and CEO. “We look forward to working with the OWCP’s Jacksonville office, federal employees and physician consultants in the region.”
